The company\u2019s website can be found\nat <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ttp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/www.ttp.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TTP has developed an innovative microfluidic cell\nsorter for research and clinical applications called the Cellular Highways (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cellular-highways.com\">www.cellular-highways.com<\/a>).\nGetting close to commercialization, the company had identified several features\nit could develop further. As such, it wished to complete a Product Market Fit (PMF)\nto optimize its product offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We started with some secondary research to identify and\nunderstand current users based on available information. This research was also\nused to understand the current market prior to contacting potential end-users.\nImpacts.Ca then worked with TTP personnel to build a data collection tool\ntailored to the specific client queries.&nbsp;\nThis was followed by one-to-one interviews with potential clients and\nend-users of the Cellular Highways product in both public and private companies.\nOnce completed, we presented our results to the client. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Results<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This research validated the market opportunity, identifying key\nattributes for commercialization and enabled Impacts.Ca to build an \u201cideal\ncustomer profile\u201d for the client&#8217;s therapeutic cell sorter in North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I first read\nJF&#8217;s book &#8220;The Handbook of Market Research for Life Science\nCompanies&#8221; which was a real eye-opener about the challenges and techniques\nto do market research in the life sciences. I then contacted him &#8211; he was very\nfriendly, helpful and informative. I requested his help to make an initial\nstudy of our product vision for a particular application, and he quickly\ndefined a project with the scope of work that was precisely what I was looking\nfor, at a very reasonable price. He rapidly collected primary market data in a\nshort time for what is quite a complex product in a complicated\nrapidly-developing market, and his report provided us with the information that\nwe needed.
